Oops sorry. Could you please see if you get the same behavior on a computer?

I don't see this on the computer but then again there is no dropdown for speed and this only happens when I set the speed greater than 1200kbps (on the Droid).

Strange. If possible, could you create a temporary test account for me on your server so I can look into it?

When I try to play a video, jwplayer is displaying an error message that says "Video not found or access denied: " followed by a url with a long string of letters and numbers.

Here is my log:

Sindre,

"AudioScrobblerService Successfully registered now playing for song 'CURB_ENTHUSIASM_S01E02' for user ndugu at Last.fm"

'CURB_ENTHUSIASM_S01E02' is a movie...

skycoca,

"Incorrect frame size" - "[-s] [0x320]"

This is a size of encoded movie - 0px x 320px

ffmpeg -v 0 -ss %o -async 1 -i %s -f flv -b %bk -s %wx%h -acodec copy -

also correct this 0px size of with...

Will do. It's caused by ffmpeg reporting an invalid pixel aspect rate (PAR) of 0:1

Code: Select all
Stream #0.0: Video: mpeg4, yuv420p, 576x320 [PAR 0:1 DAR 0:1], 25.00 tb(r)

Thanks you

You don't have ffmpeg or symlink is not correct in transcode folder :)

I have another question, ffmpeg is using alot of CPU on my box, always 99-100%. Can anyone give explanation for this? It it the same if I play 300Mb tv serie or 4,5Gb HD movie. I know It should not take 100%, I had transcoding on older subsonic, and ffmpeg transcoded at alot less CPU. My CPU is P4 3.0Ghz - linux.

Thanks for any suggestions.
I just know.

@burjast, I do have ffmpeg and it is located exactly where Subsonic is looking for it according to the log. Proof:

Code: Select all
mac-mini:transcode gotosleep$ pwd
/Library/Application Support/Subsonic/transcode
mac-mini:transcode gotosleep$ ls -l
total 21272
-rwxr-xr-x  1 root  admin  10505512 Sep 25 19:08 ffmpeg
-rwxr-xr-x  1 root  admin    384316 Sep 25 17:28 lame

Also, in the log I posted previously, you can see the output from Subsonic running ffmpeg, so obviously that isn't the issue. Do I need a symlink somewhere else? Sindre, any ideas?

Sorry, I didn't exactly read debug log :) But strange, I don't know at this time what would it be..

@gotosleep: everything looks correct so I'm not sure what it can be. Does it happen with all videos, or just this one?

I sometimes see the same thing with videos. I've always assumed it's due to a buffer underrun. I can usually just press play again and it will work. Adding a 30 second buffer to the player seems to have solved it for me.

To add a 30 second buffer you can modify the videoPlayer.jsp and add bufferlength:"30" to the flashvars.

Am I the only one who has had problems with the latest build of 4.3? (2078) Edit: Solved

Expected Behavior:
jw-player displays as part of playlist.view on web interface of subsonic/

Actual Beahviour:
We are left with a white box in place of where jw-player should be.

Analysis:
It has been working fine, however now it would seem that the source of ./playlist.view is refering to a different version of jw-player.
playlist.view line 89
swfobject.embedSWF("/subsonic/flash/jw-player-5.0.swf", "placeholder", "340", "24", "9.0.0", false, flashvars, params, attributes);

however I have ./flash/jw-player-5.4.swf, not version 5.0

Admittedly I have minimal knowledge of web apps, Perhaps someone better equipped could shed some light on the matter?

For the record,
OS: Ubuntu 10.04 Server
Host: Tomcat6 6.0.24-2ubuntu1
Subsonic 4.3 (2078) (Un-registered)

I have removed /var/subsonic and reinstalled the war file to no avail, the only change that I can think of is trying the trial on the android, perhaps this could have brought about some changes in the rendering of the playlist.view when the trial period expired?

Thanks in advance for any feedback.
Steve

Edit: It would also seem like I am having difficulty in adding users to subsonic, yet am able to change the password of admin successfully. No error message appears after clicking 'Save' but the new users do not appear in the drop-box and cannot be used to login.

Nothing in subsonic.log however ./db/subsonic.log is spitting out
/*C1*/SET SCHEMA PUBLIC
CONNECT USER SA
DISCONNECT
repeatedly.
