Thanks for the help. I did learn a lot.

In the meantime my Android install on my Sprint TP2 self-destructed so I have to rebuild before I test to the phone.

I had one other question. In the past when I set a fixed Ip I did that within Windows on the TCP/IP parameters. Do you recommend doing it via the Netgear Router static routes?

Yes, I would define the relationship in the router, but in the Netgear router I believe they call it reserved address rahter than a Static IP or a Static route. Chapter 5 of the manual explains how to do it.

Thanks, will do it. I paid for my copy of SubSonic as it now streams to my rooted Android TP2... can see all the 100s of albums!

For the record, the fixed Server IP was set up in Windows 7 and not with the Netgear Router.
