Way to message all users, via their email address.

Is there a reason for the email address in the user profile, at this point? I cannot figure out how to contact my users via their email addresses from Subsonic. If I'm just missing something, be sure to flame me hard, because I deserve it!

However I'm curious too, what the email address field is for. If it had no function, I wouldnt have to enter an address while creating an account..maybe? .)

It is a curiosity, but my guess is that it will be used in the future, probably for password retrieval/reset. It might also be cool to shotgun all registered users with update information or general anouncements about your site.

It just amazes me how often a whinner shows up complainging about donating $15 for Subsonic. Where else are you going to find an app like this that is updated continuously and the developer actually listens to the users and incorporates many of their ideas into the product. Good luck calling Apple and telling them what you'd like in iTunes or telling MS what to do with WMP.

After 3 years of frustration with Twonky Media on the HP Media Smart Server trying to get streaming working, SS is the answer. Yeah, it takes a bit of work and some horsepower in the hardware to get the full benefits out of it, but it works as advertised if you get the setup right. I don't think there's anything out there that can compare. Add the cross-platform capability and you can only be amazed at what Sindre has accomplished. Developer of the year for sure.
