Rate individual songs

You give to me an amazing idea!

id3 tag not have a standard attribute for store ratio. And think in 3 users rating the same song ¿Problem? NO

We can store in comment attribute text strings like [user:ratio] making so easy the implementation of ratio for subsonic. So elegant and portable, and I think that the ratio for lot of people is better that your only single ratio.

I hope it's not late for a programming this single solution in a bit code lines. Yesterday came a beta, that means a new version is coming soon and this feature is so important for so much of us.

At least the first step, not mixing ratios or search by ratio, only rate songs.

I'm just getting started with subsonic, and I'm surprised to learn that you can only rate *albums*! Individual song star ratings (and using them for smart playlist criteria) are a must for me. I'd also really like the ability to import the ratings from iTunes, but that could probably be accomplished via other hackery.

i think some 'simple' list of favored songs would do the job (one favorites-list per user)

I have to say I am surprise how this program works so flawlesly anyway is awesome.

I did find few simple things that I missed when I was playing with it.

Is very important the Rating per song like this thread recommended. Is nice to be able to access all your albums and all the songs but sometimes you want to download just your favorites songs and you dont remember the names some times. So at least if you can see the rating that you already applied to the song then you know which ones are the ones you want to download first.

That's a feature that missed me in this software.
There is a standard named FMPS for rating and listen number and other tag. This standard is young but yet used by some player (Gmusicbrowser...).

+10 for me Individual song ratings is a must-have feature. I'm all for the video stuff down the line, but there are still several things lacking on the audio side in Subsonic that should be addressed first.

especially since actual statistics are, sorry, poorly designed I think. because, for calculate statistics for a album, it is based, I think, on the number of pieces.
