CPU 100%, tons of FFMPEG.exe threads in subsonic 4.3

Postby ddubyat » Thu Jan 20, 2011 9:10 pm

Recently installed and licensed subsonic 4.3 using standalone.

Working great to stream my collection of movies, but it seems as if the FFMPEG.exe transcoding does not disappear when client exits.

For this reason, after using subsonic via android or browser for a day or two, the box needs restarted because a ton of threads are spooled up using 12mb of mem each.

Is there a smart detection to abandon these threads if the browser exits or client aborts?

Thanks!

Specs: Running win7 x64, subsonic is fronted with apache2.2 over https. Increased the Mem size to 2GB on 8GB server, but mostly default setup.

I do not have any custom options set on ffmpeg transcoding.

I have been trying to create a use case for this with no luck.

Seems it is working great from a browser, leading me to believe it may be an android issue. Will try more to recreate.
