I hope this hasn't already been posted. I did a search for folder.jpeg but didn't see any relevant results.
On Android, the folder.jpeg files are showing up in the Gallery app, or any other picture viewer that uses the central media library. The worst part is, each jpeg is in a separate folder, so the Gallery app is flooded with individual "galleries" for each folder.jpeg.
When the Subsonic client downloads or creates folder.jpeg files, can you make them hidden files? I think the file name simply has to start with a dot. I.e., .folder.jpeg. The client will still be able to load them with an explicit path, but the media indexer will ignore them.
Another option would be to store them in a different directory tree altogether that sits parallel to the music tree. In the root of the image tree, if you place a single .nomedia file (empty file with just that name) then the media indexer will ignore the entire tree. I think the first option is easier, though.
Putting a .nomedia file in the root of the subsonic folder solves the Gallery issue, but then blocks the MP3 files from appearing in the media database.
