Server not responding on local network after install

I'm running Debian lenny on a G4 PowerPC. I just installed 4.3, never used Subsonic before. The install went fine, and the service started without problems, but when I tried to connect, either from the server or from another machine on the local network, I get no response. Specifically, I see a TCP handshake, followed by an HTTP GET. The server acks that, but never sends any data. Any help would be appreciated.
