Newbie connection issues

I have installed subsonic on my mac and HTC Evo and everything seemed to work fine. I was able to listen to music on my phone connecting to my server.
I upgraded to version 4.3 and made a donation via paypal, now my phone can not connect to my server and I get a (ConnectTimeoutException) when I test the connection via my Subsonic control panel.
Does anyone know what the problem could be?

Check to see if Subsonic is still using the correct port. Also verify the settings match on the phone.

Subsonic control panel says that forwarding to port 4040 is successful. I can not access my server through either the control panel or my phone.

What OS are you running on? I am assuming you are using port 4040 still.

Couple things to double check....

*Is the service started, if yes, restart it.

*On the machine/host can you get to the login page via http://localhost:4040

*Is port 4040 still open externally - http://www.yougetsignal.com/tools/open-ports/

*Is it accessible externally via a web browser with FQDN:4040?

*Is it accessible externally via a web browser with IP:4040? - Don't know your IP the site above will display it.
