Where are my podcasts downloading to?

Postby duckwars » Tue Feb 01, 2011 2:49 am

I am running ubuntu 9.10 (I believe...) and I saw in another post that it is in /var/subsonic/podcasts

but it doesn't appear to be there... I think the post was old.

Any ideas where my podcasts are downloading to, or how I can find this out? Thanks!

I use the Windows version, so I don't know if it's the same, but I go to Settings/Podcast and define the directory in "Save Podcasts in" block at the bottom, just above the Save button.

/etc/default/subsonic (--default-podcast-folder=...) - used for daemon startup (overwrite options from "subsonic.sh")
/usr/share/subsonic/subsonic.sh (SUBSONIC_DEFAULT_PODCAST_FOLDER=...) - used for user desktop startup

Create manually this folder if not exist (check permissions, need be same as SS unix user). After add podcast in SS wait for downloading. Some podcasts is a limited download speed and response... Just wait and see for errors.

Example from my "/etc/default/subsonic":

SUBSONIC_ARGS="--home=/srv/subsonic --port=80 --max-memory=512 --default-music-folder=/srv/subsonic/Music --default-podcast-folder=/srv/subsonic/Podcasts --default-playlist-folder=/srv/subsonic/Playlists"
