[Fixed] Opera 11 / Security error: attempted to read...

Postby nanawel » Mon Jan 31, 2011 11:45 am

Hi,

First of all: great app! I use it everyday and really love it, thanks!

After updating Opera to the latest release (11.01 if I'm not wrong) I cannot use Subsonic with it anymore.

First, a non-blocking bug: A new window now opens when I click an artist on the left, instead of updating the central part of the page. I have to change the root folder in the select box to be able to use the left frame again.

Then, a very blocking bug: I cannot start playing tracks anymore from the central part. Clicking "Play all", "Play random" or "Add all" shows the following error in the console:

Code: Select all
Uncaught exception: ReferenceError: Security error: attempted to read protected variable: onPlay
Error thrown at line 1, column 0 in <anonymous function>(event):
    top.playlist.onPlay('[...path to my media...]')

It seems to be a security problem between the different frames on the page. Opera may a bit strict on that point, since it works like a charm on Firefox and Chromium.

I'm using Subsonic 4.2 (build 1944) – November 21, 2010, server on Debian, client on Windows XP. Maybe it's been fixed on Subsonic 4.3?

Thanks in advance

Never mind, seems like it was more a cache problem. It works now.
