If I rename and reinstall, will that wipe all of my configuration, user IDs, etc?

If you renamed "jetty" folder (stop SS before) SS only reinstall this folder at next start. Backup ".../subsonic/db" folder and ".../subsonic/subsonic.properties".

I log-in to your SS... find problem in your browser. Problem isn't in SS!
