I've been trying to get Subsonic to work properly for my needs, and while it's currently working more or less, there are still a few things I can't get to work.
1. Last.FM: I've entered my username and password in the Subsonic web interface. However, when I play songs in the Android app, nothing happens. Using the search function in this forum, I've found a few people wishing for scrobbling support on Android, but a few say that it's already working - just scrobbles during the download instead of while playing. Which case is true?
2. Network drives. My music is on a simple SMB network share, mounted as a network drive on the Win7 machine I'm running Subsonic on. I've already set the service to run as admin, as per this guide, but Subsonic still complains (No music folders found. Please change the settings.)... I've tried all sorts of entries in the Folder field:
S:\Music
\\192.168.178.25\Music
\\ls-lglc51\Music
Also with all forward-slashes, and and with slashes added to the end as well, as well as mixtures of forward and backwards slashes. Any idea why I'm having problems?
3. Is there a way to change the POPM rating field of the currently playing song (the original file in my music folder) via the Android app? This is a feature that I've been looking for, well, nearly forever, on streaming apps for Android...
Sorry for the many questions, but the search function in this forum doesn't work very well for me (no "search topic titles" option... wtf?), and before I shell out cash for a license, I'd like to know if what I'm trying to do is even possible
