How do you used Jukebox Mode?

Postby nate5182 » Thu Feb 10, 2011 7:23 pm

This seems like a simple question... I am sure I am just missing something. I am trying to use iSub to play my music in Jukebox mode, but I can't get it to work. When I chose a song to play from my iPhone, it adds it to the playlist and the play button switches to a pause button... as if it were playing, but no sound comes out of my computer (the subsonic server). Is there some configuration that needs to be setup? Do I need to have a browser window open logged in to subsonic on the server? I am new to Subsonic so any help would be appreciated.
FYI... I am using Windows XP Pro.

Your best bet is to use a web browser on your phone to control the jukebox. Right now, each logged in user and each different client will create their own jukebox 'player', which of course doesn't make sense because there is only one jukebox to play on.

Sindre is working on it.

My question isn't how to initiate playing a song. My question is, how is the song suposed to play on the server? Should I have the web player open? Is my default music players supposed to open automaticly? When I login to the subsonic web interface... in the "Now Playing" section it shows the song I attempted to play, but no sound is coming out anywhere.
FYI... I can't use WAP from my iphone. I belive this is a know issue. I have seen other posts with the same problem.

Ah. With Jukebox mode it comes out of the sound card of the server itself.
