simple upgrade help

Postby henning » Fri Mar 11, 2011 2:22 pm

Hi,

I'm running Subsonic standalone on 2 Linux machines in version 4.1
Now I need/want to upgrade to the latest version.
Sofar all upgrades ended with the loss of all user data.
Is there a simple way to upgrade with out loosing this data ?

System Debian (Kanotix) with Xampp

Tks

backup the db folder in the subsonic dir, and "subsonic.properties" in the subsonic folder. install over old SS folder and drop the saved files back in. That should set you straight :)

Hi,

tks, but at least for the first installation it did not work as expected.
Same as before , user data lost.
I will see if I can manage it properly with the second one.

The user settings etc are stored in the subsonic.script file in the db directory so make sure you back that up 1st
