unable to sign in to web page

Postby sacandagadaddy » Thu Mar 10, 2011 5:16 pm

hi. i just download subsonic for windows. i then opened the web page associated with subsonic server and proceeded to create a username and password. it then took me to a second page which seemed like it was confirming my username/password but also asked for my email address. once i entered all info and clicked save, it immediately took me to the initial web page (where i at first had to enter U:admin P:admin). i proceeded to enter my username and password that i had just set up but it says i have one of them wrong. i do not have one of them wrong. i tried "admin" again for both to no avail. i am usually pretty good at digging in web logs to find the answers i need but not this time. there is no point in trying to dig up a number string to get my password. i know what it is. fyi, my port is open which at this point is irrelevant as i cannot add any folders to the server to even begin that process. so again, i am unable to access the web page to adjust my setting for the server which says it is running.

It seems you can change the username and password back to default this way.

You should have changed your admin password as one of the first tasks after starting SS. I would try to stop the service and restart from the tray icon to see if it resets the password access before getting into too much digging.
