subsonic server on centos-can play on the computer but not o

Postby grx123 » Sat Mar 26, 2011 4:49 am

So finally managed to get subsonic going on a dedicated vps box with the sole purpose of streaming audiobooks to my phone. Here is my problem. I can login and play my songs on my home pc but the android client does not show any sound tracks. Any ideas how to fix this?

TIA

What's your folder structure? Files shoud be stored in folders within the defined directory.

e.g. C:\Books

C:\Books\Author\Title\files

Thanks for the quick reply
/home/usr/grx1234/public_ftp/incoming/music is the structure in the subsonic.sh file. the music files are located in /home/usr/grx1234/public_ftp/incoming/music/songs

okay figured it out. You need to set the default folder and the 1st directory in the settings the same. Unsure why this paradigm worked on the PC but not on android client. so my basic structure is like this
/home/usr/grx1234/public_ftp/incoming/music in the subsonic.sh file
the same in subsonic server gui
/home/usr/grx1234/public_ftp/incoming/music
works like a charm. Not a bad deal 46/yr for host my 50 gig collection Time to send my donation for this worthy cause :)
