Subsonic skipping tracks

Postby mcofer » Sat Mar 26, 2011 6:51 pm

Random Albums in my library fail to play
Subsonic list the songs but skips over them when trying to play
Most of the songs are 160 CBR and download/play fine in "Media Player"
I ran some through a converter and it fixed the problem.
Any suggestions what may be wrong and how i can identify the bad songs without trying to play each song?

Thanks

Run everything through the converter.

Not a good solution

We are talking about 60,000 mp3s. 60+ hrs to convert all
And the more music files get manipulated the more quality you lose.
As a programmer I really want to understand the "Why".
I assume it must be a issue with the header.
I have tried three other players that work fine with these songs.
Media player, media monkey and jplayer all handle these mp3s without and issue.
Is this a subsonic bug?

Sorry, I've never had an issue with my library, but I thought I've read other posts that indicated that there are utilities out ther that can scan and clean an entire library, perhaps over an out-of-town weekend.

Could you post the SS log under "Help" tab when playing above files?
