Subsonic for Windows does not recognize my networked drive.

Postby NssOne » Tue Mar 29, 2011 7:20 pm

So I have a network drive mapped to a folder on my home NAS. It's labeled M:. But when I put it in the settings (M:\), it doesn't seem to recognize it. I can get a local folder to be recognized, but it would be something like C:\shared that works. I'm thinking it's that SS doesn't want to pointed to the root of a drive, it needs an actual folder. But with the way I have my music set up in Windows I don't really want to have to rearrange things just to get SS to work.

OK, I did all that but I still couldn't get it to work with the mapped drive letter, I had to use the server address itself instead.

That sounds right. We've looked at this before. Using the network share name is the only workaround at this time. I know that Sindre is aware of this issue and does have it on his to do list. Can't tell you when, but I do know that he always does eventually get around to these things.
