I would like to add that I tried to use it also over a regular installation and also had the same problem for indexing the genres, but now im using over tomcat6 to stream over a SSL tunnel.
So the problem is that I get the genre from the song is 131 and not Indie as it should be. This error happens in only a couple of files from the library randomly and always get a different tag for genre when I rescan the library.
Here I live a picture of what is happening:

Thanks a lot in advance for any reply :D

I don't see the option to edit tags that should show between the DOwnload and Comment options. Go yo settings/users and make sure that the username that you log in on has the box checked, "User is allowed to change cover art and tags." Then just edit the tag.

@GJ51:

Im sorry...but i dont see the thing about changing the tags from my whole collection because subsonic cant read the tag over the file (the library is shared with my roommates also).
As I sayed before you can see that the ffmpeg that the tag is ok, but the as randomly showing at subsonic with a different tag, and only at the genre.
As I looked over the permissions at the folders at the whole collection, all the folders are mounted with read+write permissions.
If I could have some clue where could I tune the subsonic to scan the library and get the correct tags for genre. The way that it looks like is that its using ffmpeg to do it so, or they shouldnt be asking for the output from ffmeg -i

If the tags are not showing correctly I would suggest that you use a program such as MP3tag to check that BOTH the ID3.1 & ID3.2 tags are correct.
:mrgreen:
Everyone is entitled to be stupid, Image but some abuse the privilege!

Due to the confusion from too many genres of music, we have decided to put both country music and rap music into the genre of Crap music.
