Thanks Glenn, That's where I was heading. After all the posts we've put up about NOT using ports 80 or 443 with Subsonic, I sometimes overlook, what to us is already obvious.
Don't use 80 or 443, many ISP's block them, use them for gateway management.
I haven't seen it affect my systems, but I guess it makes sense that some ISP's may monitor traffic on http and block or limit certain types of data transfer, most likley to block file sharing and torrent activity. Trying the https route will certainly help in that case.
If you implement ssl, just remember that you need to open the ssl port, OTHER than 443, and that you still access SS at the http address. SS wil make the ssl connection internally once you make the connection.
