Ubuntu 10.10, Tomato Firmware

Postby srw2d » Mon Apr 11, 2011 3:17 am

Hi,

I can't seem to get subsonic working on ubuntu and the tomato firmware.

I get the port has been forwarded successfully, but on the access your server over the Internet, I get (ConnectTimeoutException).

Any help on this I can get would be great. I would be willing to donate for this help.

Thanks!

So in here I would put port 4040 right?

I get that I fail.

Go into Tomato gui and open port 4040 tcp.

edit: and make the server machine's IP a static entry. :)

I have the port open,

edit: and make the server machine's IP a static entry. Smile

Can you give me a little more direction on this one?

Thanks for your help!

You can edit either the machines lan/wlan settings to 'pull' a constant lan IP and subnet (ie 192.168.0.3, 255.255.255.0), thereby negating router's dhcp client, OR possibly set this static IP inside the Tomato firmware. Grab your servers current IP assigned by dhcp, and enter it in the firmware as a static assigment (see directions for Tomato, if this is possible).

edit: if 4040 were open for your server, it would be seen by canyouseeme.org. The 4040 port needs to be open AND tied to your servers static IP.

Got it worked out. I ended up restoring the firmware back to the default status. And then set it up, and it all worked.

I donated, thanks!
