Postby Son of Spam » Fri Apr 15, 2011 6:55 pm

...either on the Android or on the Web client?

Still a newbie, here, lol!

Playlists are only created in the web browser. use the "More actions " drop down to the right of the player bar in the lower window.

Playlists can be be saved in android app
Its kinda tricky tho.

1st select the song you want by either taping them or selecting all either way they will have a green check mark you can add them to your local playlist on the phone by Queue.

Now the tricky part is adding more to list, you can only add songs to local playlist that appear on an open screen like 3 songs you want of one album has to be Queued, will be added. Selecting songs off of one page, and then another page will not work.

Now once you add all the songs you want you click on the far right icon looks like a record. From there u can see the current song playing. On this screen only can you see the local playlist click on the icon all the way to the right (looks like 3 horizontal lines)

Finally here is your local playlist of the songs you have added. GEEZ thats not easy to find. Look over you list see if you like it. Press the menu button on your phone and screen will pop up and ask save playlist, and u can save.

However this function has to be enabled on the web interface settings under player. Should be set to external player with playlist, for the android player.

I know its kinda confusing. Hope this helps.

Im new to the whole subsonic thing but I am a computer nerd by trade, and work in as a IT Admin. It's my job to mess with something until I either break it or learn some new stuff LOL. No problem at all, glad to pass off anything I find hehe.

I (half-) created a playlist last night. When I saved it I went back to my music list to add more to the Playlist I just created. Didn't work: the previous songs I had saved to the playlist were replaced by the new ones.

And now I don't see any playlist at all.

Confused...very confused. :?

To add to a saved playlist you have to load the saved playlist 1st. Then queue songs to it, and re-save to confirm you added songs to a saved playlist. Also go on to you web interface in settings and set where playlists are saved. If nothing is picked the server doesn't know where to save it. Once you do this on your web interface saving playlists on your phone will save to that location on your server.

Try making a test playlist on the web interface, saving it, and then try loading that playlist on your android app. If it works you shouldn't have a problem saving playlists on multiple platforms; PC/Android, etc.

Hope this helps
