Subsonic on Buffalo Linkstation

Is anyone running subsonic on a Buffalo Linkstation? Is it fast enough to be usable?

What model # are you looking to use as your server?

Sorry, should have mentioned that: it's the LinkStation Live (the HS-DHGL) which I'm interested in.

Install subsonic on Buffalo Linkstation pro duo

Postby oatman » Sun Apr 17, 2011 8:35 pm

Have buffalo LS-WV2.0TL/R1 "V" series Pro Duo. I'm trying to keep a copy of my media library for share access and to stream across the internet. I don't want to keep my PC on all the time.

I'm having trouble modifying info for remote server and other NAS installs to figure out how to install subsonic on the buffal LS NAS.

It should be possible, but it's not a QNap or even Synology so it's not a robust or feature rich 'linux' like object. I should be able to get some kind of working java implementation going though and then be able to set up subsonic yes?

Anyone out there wirking with something like the LinkStations? Doesn't have to be the Pro duo or the "V" series. Any of the LS duo's are close enough...

and the more recent single drive LS NASes should also be the same.

Thanks in advance for any help
