Skip / do not scan subfolder

Postby demonstreamer » Thu Apr 21, 2011 9:02 pm

I have a folder called "Rock" with hundreds of folders under it by Artist. Some of the folders I do not want Subsonic to scan. Is there a way to skip/block certain folders?

Move them to a different folder, one not listed in Settings/Music Folders

What does that have to do with buying another hard drive? I have 5 hard drives, with TBs free. I'm just trying to find out if there is a way to filter folders.

Not that I want to argue with Gary, but...

Change the user account that Subsonic is running under, and then deny that user account access to the folders in question. That should accomplish what you want.

NB: not tested. I don't really know what subsonic will do when denied access to the folders. I would definitely do a re-scan and watch the log right after you make these changes.

Let me be permitted to rephrase.

Currently not a feature available in Subsonic at this time, to the best of my knowledge.
