Search broken in 4.4

Postby zapt0 » Tue Apr 26, 2011 8:51 pm

Using windows installer of 4.4, I have added folder with substantial amount of files (~50000) which took only about ten seconds. I can see all the files in the list but they are not searchable, not even by folder name. Searching for anything at all gives no results.

Troubleshooting Steps: Tried readding folder, no dice.
Playback Application and version: Latest web interface or android client.
Subsonic Version: 4.4 (build 2172) – February 6, 2011
Server Version: jetty-6.1.x, java 1.6.0_07, Windows 2003 (41.1 MB / 49.6 MB)
Hardware Platform: Windows Server 2003
Java Memory Limit: 100MB

Please advise!

Are you able to search now? The search index should have rebuilt itself last night.

Hello!

Yes, searching now seems to work when I left it running overnight. I really feel an initial folder add should trigger a full refresh or at least give some information.

If you add music or video in the future and you don't want to wait for the nightly scanning you can manually update your index through the web at Settings>Search and then click the "Update search index now." link.

Must have missed that button, thanks!
