Bug: Android app takes over headset controls from other apps

Postby stoffe » Wed May 04, 2011 1:21 pm

The Android application takes over and blocks remote control from headsets even when not playing and even worse, when other apps are actually playing (such as Spotify) resulting in two things:

1. Subsonic starts up and start playing also, resulting in cacophony
2. The command to the active app is blocked and does not happen at all

The feature request would be to fix this bug. :)

Have to uninstall it for now, since I do use other players.

Hi!

I am having the exact same problem across 3 different devices using different versions of Android:

1. HTC Desire using 2.2, stock Sense ROM
2. Samsung Galaxy S at 2.1, stock ROM
3. HTC Desire HD, tested both on stock 2.2 Sense ROM and CyanogenMod 7.x (Gingerbread 2.3.3).

This bug is extremely annoying and makes Subsonic virtually unusable for me. Please fix it ASAP!

... forgot to add: what's MUCH worse about this bug is that you cannot answer the phone with the headset buttons once you install Subsonic.
