Android mass storage

I have an HTC EVO that I use Subsonic on. I plug this into my head unit in my truck with the usb cable and mount it as a mass storage device.

When I do, my head unit can find mp3's in any folder except for the subsonic folder. If I move the mp3's to the media folder or somewhere else, they work fine.

Any ideas why it does not like this subsonic folder?

Some specifics about my setup

Phone: HTC Evo Android (rooted)
App: Subsonic (not sure what version, installed from market May 4th 2011)

Head Unit: Alpine CDE-103BT using usb interface
