Host name may not be null

I am trying to link to the server when I get that prompt. My server name has a dash in it. Server1-home. I believe the problem to be the dash. Could someone verify, all my devices have a dash in the name.

EDIT: Ok, I'm a noob, I had not started the server. DOH!
