Error Popup after logging in through browser

Postby BigLa » Fri May 06, 2011 4:38 pm

After I login to my subsonic server via browser, I'm immediately prompted with a popup that simply says 'Error'. There is no other information given. If I say ok, I can use the server without issue. I'm not sure where to look for more information. The only errors I see in the log are the occassional parsing error, but those long pre-dated this issue. I am running version 4.4 (build 2169) on Freenas.

Thanks

Resolved. Re-extracted the latest rar to my standalone directory and the error went away.

What do you mean by Re-extracted the latest rar

I have the latest version 4.4 (build 2172) – February 6, 2011 and since yesterday I'm getting the same error message, it only says ERROR
every time I log in

Any one else with this error?

Does any one know how many movies are supported in one folder?

Sorted !!!!!!

To get rid off the ERROR You just need to stop the service and restart it again

Working as a dream :D

This usually happens to me if I am changing files that are already open in the browser. Sometimes I notice an artist is spelled wrong or I move a file that is "active" in subsonic's database.

When you log in or reopen the browser it tends to go back to exactly where you were, and if those files aren't there it starts with this error.

All you have to do is restart the service.

on ubuntu -
Code: Select all
sudo service subsonic restart

This happens to me too and I actually think it is a bug. Nowhere in the dicumentation or in the forum (until now) is it said that music files must remain untouched for subsonic to run smoothly and without "Error". At least I think so. It is also on Sindres TODO list, which is sadly quite long (dont have the link handy, but google should work) so I guess its a matter of time and version number until it gets fixed. Since there are several threads like this now maybe even in 4.5 who knows 8-)
