Connection Timeout Today but not Yesterday

Hi.

I'm trying to access my URL via http://duckus.subsonic.org. I was accessing this quite happily yesterday, but today I keep getting a connection timeout error.

I have a Mac and I ran through the installation instructions on subsonic.org. I didn't see any options for making the IP static -- think I just assumed that would be handled by the URL. I used the "Automatically configure your router .. " option.

I then registered my url and donated .. Should this always work? Could it be timing out if my computer at home as gone to sleep?

Yes, if the home server has gone to sleep, it's not serving and therefore you cannot connect.

You can set up Wake on WAN and use one of the many sites on the web to send the wake packet on UDP 9. I do this to wake up my WHS when I'm not at home.

Send the wake signal, then wait a bit for it to come online and then try the SS connection.

Only works on hardwired systems.
