How?
Typing the path isn't working because I may not know the proper syntax.
I want to just add the iTunes music folder that lives on an external drive attached to my Mac. What's the secret? Path is /Massive Storage/iTunes/iTunes Music/Music

No sense in keeping an account if I can't get an answer for help.
It sounded like a great idea. I wanted to give it a try.

Try adding /Volumes before your path.

So the path should be:

/Volumes/Massive Storage/iTunes/iTunes Music/Music

Pure guess... I'm a windows user, not a mac user.

This is a forum, not a support chat service. I'm not a Mac user, but I have seen this issue addressed many times in the forums. Perhaps a little search effort on your part might give you the answers you are seeking.

Most issues regarding connecting to external storage devices involve giving Subsonic proper permission settings and using proper UNC addressing.

Thank you. I know this is a forum. I searched and tried the solutions offered for this or even similar problems by other users that made this horrible error.
Believe me, the last thing I want to do is register on a forum for help. Mostly cause of people like you that just assume I've done nothing to figure out the issue first.
What I will apologize for is not providing enough specific information on my original post. But would that have mattered? I'd still be asking for a support chat service apparently.
