Trying to Install on Debian iMac (PPC)

Postby moore.bryan » Wed Jun 22, 2011 5:56 pm

I installed the .deb no problem and receive no error messages, but when I travel over to http://localhost:4040, all I get is a 404 error. Any ideas where to start trouble-shooting this? I have no firewall or IP blocker currently running.

http://localhost:4040/subsonic instead?

1. Open a terminal and type "vi /etc/default/subsonic" (mac and linux settings location should be the same) and look for the line that starts with SUBSONIC_ARGS= See if there's any port specified there. Probably not, since it's a new install, but you never know.

2. Instead of localhost, try the ip address of the machine that subsonic is installed on.

For Debian, don't add the /subsonic at the end of the address - I found that it always fails if I do that on my debian install. Hope this helps!
