Lyrics lookup not working.

Current user in the Now Playing column still gets it wrong. I log on as "Dad" and the Now Playing area shows "admin" - Yes I'm an admin, but that's not how I'm logged in.

External Player feature not working properly. Chrome and FF get nothing but blank upper screen in the movie player area. IE9 can get music to play but not video.

+1 to each of Gary's first two points about lyrics and the Now Playing current user still getting it wrong. eric logged on last night to play something, and he showed up as jim instead.

Also, in the management of the sharing feature, I'd actually prefer an option to turn it off completely (or at least user by user). I use the Barents Sea theme, which is a fairly dark blue and quite attractive methinks... but the Sharing feature adds those white checkboxes beside each song, along with the "More Actions" dropdown after the last track. This adds significantly more bright/high-contrast clutter to the interface that I'd really rather not have.

I'm not able to use the Sharing feature due to using my own personal domain instead of a subsonic.org one, but I'd probably not use it even if I could. I love that the feature is there... but definitely want the ability to turn it off so as to make all the white checkboxes and white dropdown disappear.

For now, I'll roll back to v4.4... but will keep fingers crossed that the above gets included for official 4.5. New Subsonic releases are always like mini-Christmases to me -- thanks as always, Sindre!

I'd also like to commernt that one of the reasons I like and use Subsonic is that It doesn't put me or my content in the cloud. I prefer using the grid but not being tracked and monitored for data mining.

The idea of sending someone a link that they can use to make a connection to my site and view specific content is great, and I would love to be able to do just that, but NOT through a third party site that I have no control over.

Since I have a lot of video files with 2 or more audio/language streams, I'd love to see an audio stream selector checkbox parallel to the bandwidth and size checkboxes. Shouldn't be much of a hassle.
The shared links should have an expiration period and be more secured to prevent unnecessary security holes.

I do love the improved functionality though, another great step forward!

Has the ffmpeg build been updated in the 4.5 beta for OS X? I found that updating the binary that accompanied the 4.4 release solved my video transcoding issues. Plus I see that v0.8 stable was released a couple of days ago.

like the sharing but def needs an expiration or management I for one prefer expiration maybe 24 hour 1 week pass type check box

and is it just me but I cant seem to share a video or find the option to do so?

When clicking on an album or music the fb and twitter share is quite visible but when I click the triangle to play a video I would assume a similar icon would be available but I don't see it?

Hm I have some problem with real time scrobling, there is a deyal 2-3 hours, also have problem playing video files (video freez after 1 min of playing or not playing at all). Back on ver 4.4 everything working fine.
If someone has a similar problem give us a post about that

Here here! Totally agree...I'd be lost without my LDAP authentication of users, and leveraging this with the "shared URL" feature would be a great extension of it.

But stepping back a bit, I agree with many others, Supra included, that we need to be able to totally disable the sharing completely if desired. So that no new checkboxes appear in the web UI at all, again, for those of us that want to take our time deploying this feature (and yet, still take advantage of all the other new features in 4.5). Then, another level would be, when enabled globally, the checkboxes appear, but have more control over seeing who's connecting, and the big thing is expiration of those URL's...they cannot and should not last forever, unless someone wants them to. But a default value of perhaps 30 days would be a decent start, then allow customization of course. Lastly, those of us with real domains that WILL NOT be changing our hostnames/domains, is there a way that we can still leverage the "share URL" feature if/when we want to???

Other than all that, Sindre, you are the man, SS keeps getting better all the time, and please know that we are eternally grateful for such an amazing server, you have nailed this thing out of the park for sure. Of course, we all want to polish the bullet further, but that's the nature of the beast. Taken as a whole, this is the best damn server running on my LAN, and there are over 32 at last count. Nobody gets more enjoyment out of any of them than Subsonic. No doubt.
