Hey all, I didn't read the whole 17 pages but just wanted to chime in too, we need some iSub forums!

Anyways, I am a long time Subsonic user and have been using iSub for about 4 months now. First off, it's best in class in terms of 3G and WiFi streaming, with few if any interruptions and I love the cachine options...which brings me to...

Any chance iSub will get a release with a feature such as "cache all." I imagine some of this would be moot once the impending iCloud service is launched, and I still haven't decided if I will continue using Subsonic or transition to iCloud.

On the other hand, every time I say that I always end up going back to Subsonic. The one killer feature that is missing from iSub I feel like is the "Cache all" or something like that.

For example, I am going on a long road trip soon and only have a 16gb iphone with no subscriptions to any services. I am moving 600 miles and I want to cache many files and use iSub as my only music player since I won't have the server set up.

Unfortunately that requires me to play each song I want cached before it will be stored. Time consuming and impractical. Any word?

I'm sorry I missed this post for so long.

There is an iSub forum here: http://isubapp.com/forum please come join us! I'm active on the iSub forum most days. It's easier to have all iSub related topics concentrated in one place instead of scattered over this forum.

Also, the "cache all" feature you're looking for actually already exists! All you have to do is slide your finger to the right on an artist, album, song, or playlist and tap the Cache button. This will download all of that music without having to play it. You can view the status in the Cache tab in the Queue section.

Also, regarding iCloud, it looks like as of right now there is no ability to actually live stream any music from it, it only allows you to sync music wirelessly. So in my opinion, it's not really in the same class as Subsonic/iSub unless they add that ability, and even then I'm sure Subsonic/iSub will have some compelling features missing from Apple's implementation.

Why are you asking here and not the isub forum :?
Everyone is entitled to be stupid, Image but some abuse the privilege!

Due to the confusion from too many genres of music, we have decided to put both country music and rap music into the genre of Crap music.
