Video Buffer and Skipping

Postby Qbix » Sat Jul 02, 2011 10:55 am

Hi,

Everything works very fast now and I must say that I love Subsonic.
But...one thing is what still bothers me a little bit.

1. How can I make the video keeps buffering when I set it on pause?
2. How can I skip within a video? No it just starts over again after I click half way.

I hope someone can help me resolving this...:)
Cheers,

When you play formats that are not transcoded, you can seek and whatnot. When you are transcoding, you cannot use the seek features. That has been my experience transcoding with mediatomb and with subsonic. GJ51 has numerous posts regarding UNCHECKING the formats that don't need to be trasncoded, that are supported natively.
If you do a search for transcoding you will probably hit quite a few of his posts where he explains a lot of this.
Hope this helps!

My main problem is that I can't see the bar is filling while it's buffering. Only
when it's completely done it's all red filled if you know what I mean.

In Youtube you can see how much is buffered and how much is left. I can't see that now..only when it's completely done I see the bar is filled.
