Now that Adobe Air runtime has been released for the Android platform, would the OP consider doing a version of Subair formatted for mobile and distributed via the Android Market?

Choice is good!

Any place for feature requests?

Postby eric20817 » Thu Oct 14, 2010 3:51 pm

Wondering about a feature-- the ability to connect to two different servers (or at least remember the other servers that you've connected to in the past).

I'm running one at work and one at home and it would be cool to switch back and forth easily.

I'm still waiting on the idea of a 'federation' of Subsonic servers to become real so one server could proxy requests to others for you.

Can you please make the Jukebox player work? I have setup a user for the jukebox player, works perfect via the webinterface, but not via subAir.

I also use subAir as a jukebox interface on a touchscreen in my room, I really need this function to make it work :)

Keep up the good work, this is a VERY nice piece of software!

Is there a shuffle feature in the works? Even just a 50 song random playlist from the entire collection or specific folder like in the webui would be great. I really like SubAir, but it's such a pain to have to add specific songs to a playlist everytime I just want to listen to some random music. So I've gone back to the webui for now.

I love this program, but it isn't usable right now since it doesn't handle https servers as it should. I guess changing the certificate management isn't that hard. If that could be done I think the application will be used by a lot more people

Problems with pause/resume?

Postby jeffcavicchi » Tue Apr 19, 2011 6:46 pm

Anyone else having problems pausing and then resuming playback? Everything works fine for me, except if I pause the track I am listening to, I can never get playback to start again, unless I clear the playlist...

Would love to get this resolved, since I really like the interface!

It would be great to implement global shortcuts.

Ditto, same issue here and a big reason I don't use the program much.

Yea I have this issue too, but not all the time. I'd say 1 in 25 times I pause/resume. I use SubAir at work all day, everyday too!

I wish it was being actively developed :( I was kicking around the idea of an HTML5 webapp that would look very similar to SubAir, this wouldn't really work well since you'd have to run a separate webserver for it. I wish there was a SubAir skin for Subsonic, so it's just the player and playlists. Then you could run it as a Chrome App. Boom!

Just an update to my post above. I released the MiniSub web app over here...

I would like to get a list of some of the things SubAir is missing and try to implement them :)
