No Song Data Returned but made donation

Postby triadmidas » Sat Jul 09, 2011 4:25 pm

Using iSub Streamer on iphone I get the message No Song Data Returned. Their website says this is most likely due to my subsonic license not being in effect.

Under "About" in the subsonic browser I have this message when I click on the donation link. "This copy of Subsonic was licensed to triadmidas@triad.rr.com on December 5, 2010. Thank you for your support!"

Windows 7 64 bit platform

Version
4.5.beta1 (build 2289) – June 19, 2011
Server
jetty-6.1.x, java 1.6.0_26, Windows 7 (23.0 MB / 40.1 MB)

Thanks for the help. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling everything but does not fix problem.

Have you verified that your site is accessible from outside you network in a browser?

I don't have an iphone so I'm not familiar with your particular error message on that app, but many of these problems are related to the router not being set up properly.

Send me a pm if you need someone to test access.

Also, test your phone on another working site such as mine at the link on the bottom or on the Subsonic demo site.

I can log in to the subsonic browser from another PC on the network. In the browser on the server PC it states the address has been successfully registered.

Can your phone make the connection using wifi inside your network?

You still haven't answered wether or not your site can be accessed fro outside your network, which is essential if your phone is going to get in from the phone's cellular data connection.

Sorry for any confusion. The phone can access from the home network. I went into the server and changed one of the folder names and the phone reflects the change through iSub. However, it cannot play any of the files it sees and gives the "no song data returned" error.

i'm not sure what that error msg indicates. It could be a transcoding issue. I would suggest contacting the iSub developer.

Have tried other applications on the iphone and all give an error message only when trying to play a music file.

I wish I could get my donation back.

PM me your subsonic user ID, so I can test the redirect server..it may need to updated. Did you register (apply the reg code) into your server install?

FWIW, Sindre always allows refunds, but I think you would prefer to resolve this minor issue and get your collection ubiquitously available. :)

Have you tested the phone on a known good server? You can test it on mine at the link on the bottom, or on the Subsonic demo server. If it doesn't work on either of those, try uninstalling and reinstalling the app on the phone.
