What do you mean you "turned off DHCP on my local machine?"

If you are done, then go ahead and do the port forwarding on your router for that static IP now. (192.168.0.200)

Changed it to Static IP addressing.

I've got the Virtual server named Subsonic, IP of 192.168.0.200, Public port 8081, private port 4443, Protocol TCP (6), always and allow all

Hmm... I'm wondering if it will matter that we set a static IP for TCP 4 just now.

Try canyouseeme.org and see if that port is open.

Nope, port isn't open. I tried Virtual server with TCP (6) and both (257), 8081 public and private ports for TCP and both settings.

What's the error on canyouseeme.org?

Also, can you post pics of your router again, with the updated settings?

I've gotta jet for the evening. I'll check back from my cell, and try a little more on this if I don't get home too late

Can you try it under port forwarding instead of virtual server? At this point it won't hurt to try it out.

Got forwarding setup

Openportcheck returns the same timeout error for ports 80, 4040, and 8081

So Weird. I can't think of anything else. You seem to have everything configured correctly.

At this point I would try and see if I could get a different router and modem. Honestly, I'm stumped. I wish you luck.

I would do a full reset on the router (unplug, press any reset button for 30 seconds), and set it up again. Then only open a single port (8081), ensure the checkbox on the left is checked, click save, then test with canyouseeme.org for 8081. If not seen, reboot the router again and retest.

In Windows firewall it should look like this:

That together with what I posted before should work, if not, there's an issue with your ISP.

I got the same router and it's working exactly as it should with the setup I've shown you. If you do it this way it will work, unless there's an issue with your ISP. You don't need to try anything else.

Holy S***! Thanks Frason! I had to open up Change Settings to check-mark the "Home/Work (Private)" options for the two Subsonic entries, but I can get through with port check and to the login screen on my cell now! I loaded up the app on my cell and can browse my music collection. When I try to play songs, the songs open up in the players with "Downloading - 0 B" with a pop-up warning saying "Warning: No network available." I tried to test the connection in Subsonic settings and the server tests okay.

Nevermind, the no network error was my own bad. I setup the connection for my server with "wifi only" when trying to troubleshoot and forgot to unselect it. I now have Subsonic streaming on my cell from my PC. Thank you all for your help! Glad to finally get everything configured right!
