Since I've never even heard of Google Listen I'm pretty sure it's not the issue here...

I've had this issue across all sorts of music apps (LastFM, Pandora, etc.) where after some given timespan, the app I was enjoying simply dies. I've had it across G1, Nexus One, and now Sensation, and across ROM's..Eclair,Froyo,Gingerbread,Cyanogen7, and even Honeycomb. I suspect the OS thinks the app is idle, even when it's streaming.

You hit that one on the head, Alphawave7.. I found combing through the droid forums that there are apps out there designed to ensure your favorite app doesn't get killed by the OS. I used to have this issue on my Droid 1, but with my Inc, I haven't noticed it. I have streamed about 2 hours straight while at work.

I've dealt with this issue for so many years now, and I still cuss when it happens to me..several times a day, that I KNOW I need to find a solution, rather than wait for Google to fix the problem. Test a few of those apps out and report back your findings! I'm keenly interested in a working solution, but free would be nice, too. :)
