Why Am I A "Guest" On My Own Subsonic?

Postby Son of Spam » Thu Jul 21, 2011 1:30 pm

I'm trying to create playlists on my Android, because I can't access my Server-Created playlists from my cellphone. After a while, the Android Subsonic forces close (yes, I've updated to the newest version) and I lose my queue.

So when I try saving said queue, I get an error message telling me I am not authorized to create playlists because I'm a "Guest".

Seriously?

Why is creating playlists so onerous on this program? It's otherwise a fantastic piece of software, but if I cannot access my music the way I want it, then it becomes moot.

(My 16 Gigabyte SD Card is too puny for my massive music collection -- and I don't want to delete and change music in there to suit random moods).
I'm running an HP Mediacenter m7060N computer with Windows XP Service Pack 3. Version 5.1 (Build 2600.xpsp_sp3_gdr.100216-1514: Service Pack 3)
