Bottom player menu, anything related to randomness wont work

Going to More and trying to make a random playlist doesn't work. The screen flashes and then nothing is any different.
Home>Random looks like it's supposed to display random albums but it doesn't actually show anything.
The shuffle option next to the player at the bottom of the screen does nothing.
I can select music in the left panel and play it all just fine, but I'd rather not pick every single song I listen to one by one. Help? I'm using 4.4, installed on Ubuntu Server via .deb (couldn't get WAR installation working). My problems are happening on Ubuntu in FireFox and Windows 7 on Chrome, Opera and FireFox, so that probably means they're happening everywhere.
