Subsonic 4.5.beta1 released

As http://foo.subsonic.org has never worked for me, always got: foo.subsonic.org is registered, but could not connect to it. (ConnectTimeoutException)

I want to use my own domain and not http://foo.subsonic.org for the sharing.

Any way that i can do this, iv had a dig about but can't fined a way to use my own domain.

You can set up a DYNDNS account at http://www.dyndns.com/. Also check you router if it supports dyndns so that your router will auto update dyndns if your IP changes.

Thanks for the replys but thats not what im asking about as i have my own address i use already.

Im talking about the new facebook, twitter, Share system.
I can only seem to use it with http://foo.subsonic.org, and as the http://foo.subsonic.org address dose not work for me it makes the new facebook, twitter, Share system useless to me.

So what i want to know is how can i maybe edit subsonic to use my domain insted of http://foo.subsonic.org.

Hi all and sorry for the long time since last release.

New: Support video in external player.

I am running this beta and can't figure out how to use video in an external player. Does this work on PC clients only? Does this work on videos on android app/tablet? Which external players are supported?

Not sure if this is where I should report an issue with SS 4.5 beta 1 or not, but here goes....

After installing the new beta I now got an error popup window with the frame that contains the chat loads. I get this in all browsers; IE, Firefox, and Chrome. Also all users on my system see it even new users. I tried clearing the cache from my browser and I looked through the log on the SS server but did not see anything there. It seems to be a client side issue but the popup is generic an just says "Error". Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

The video-part doesn't interest me that much, but the Facebook and sharing-things do. I'm gonna try a upgrade on my Solaris Server now!

I'm having the exact same issue. I have my own registered domain and static IP address. When I sign up for my own subsonic.org then it gives me the same error message as you. DYNDNS is not an option for me either, I have a domain name and static IP for a reason

I would love to share a song or two with my friends outside my subsonic circle but at this point can't unless I go through the trouble of giving them an account.

Hi, Since updating to 4.5beta1 I'm seeing a small bug:

The last 2-3 seconds of each track are cut off. This happens on both the Android client as well as when using a streaming client (winamp/amarok/etc).
Not a big deal for music tracks but for e-books it can lead to confusion

I checked the logs but didn't see anything out of the ordinary.

Anyone else seeing/hearing this bug?
