welcome/log in message variables?

Hello, first I would like to say thank you for such a great program.

I'm sorry if this is covered somewhere, did not come up with anything definitive.

I was wondering if it was possible to set up a custom welcome message (I know that part is) that will show some statistics?

something like

There are %users users currently online, with %24users users in the last 24 hours.
There has been a total of %songs songs played, with %MBtrans MB transfered
---

would look like this

---
There are 4 users currently online, with 15 users in the last 24 hours.
There has been a total of 333 songs played, with 1980 MB transfered
---

Not directly within SS, no. But there would be nothing stopping you from making this happen on your own.

Namely (and this assumes Linux) you'd want to run a cron job periodically (every 5 minutes, or every hour, or however often you want) to parse the subsonic log file and tally up the number of entries containing the words "listening to" as well as the number of unique usernames prior to the "listening to".

The number of unique usernames and number of total listens can then be written by the cron job to a text file somewhere on your server. You would then modify SS's .jsp file to read in the values from the text message and display them in the welcome message, such as "12 users have listened to 97 songs", etc.

Not something that could be done in 5 mins certainly, but definitely doable if this was something you wanted for your SS.
