Sindre,

I'd just like to offer my services as a beginner Silverlight dev if you're interested in creating a silverlight app.

Hi Bradford,

Thanks for your offer. I don't know much about Silverlight, but I love the idea that people can develop third-party interfaces to Subsonic.

As of 3.5.beta1, Subsonic offers a minimal, XML-based API which can be used for this. (It was originally made for the mobile JME player, but can be used for Flash, Silverlight etc also).

Read more about it here: http://forum.subsonic.org/forum/viewtopic.php?p=2910

It would be cool if you gave it a try. Of course, the API is not written in stone, and can be altered to accomodate new functionality.

Cheers,
Sindre

Great! I'll look into that API. I would love to create a player that is more powerful than the current flash player, and Silverlight is really great when working with XML. I'll keep you posted.
