One folder opens very slowly

Postby thatmikeykid » Wed Sep 10, 2008 8:03 pm

Hi there! Just a little thing that's been bugging me...

I have my music segregated into folders depending on the first letter of the musician's name, and this works really well. One of the folders, though.. and just the one.. will take upwards of 60 seconds to open. The browser sits there waiting for a response far longer than any other folder.

It does eventually open, but it's annoying. This folder doesn't have an inordinate amount of music in it.. in fact, there's less than other folders, so I doubt it's a quantity issue. I looked for incorrect and/or corrupted file names or tags and checked to make sure there were not any recursive subfolders.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

You could try setting subsonic to log level DEBUG and see whether that tells you anything.
Currently without Subsonic due to hardware failure :(

Good idea, I'll give that a shot and report back.

No new information.... as far as the log is concerned it's opening without error.. but it's still taking much longer than the rest.

Any other ideas, guys? Thanks!

You could try renaming the folder and see whether it still loads as slow. And maybe also creating a new empty folder with the same name and put a single song in it and see if that works..
I assume accessing the folder directly on the server causes no such problems?
