register serial remotely from terminal

Hi,

Is it possible to register my serial# remotely using a terminal? My connection here (I'm not at home, I'm traveling) is too slow to let me connect with VNC and launch the application and the web interface (remote) just takes me to the purchase page.

Do you know your external IP address and port? You should still be able to connect using that and not get redirected to the purchase page... that should only happen with your custom subsonic.org domain name...
