Problem 4.5b2 with ntfs usb hard drive

Hi,
I use Subsonic on Ubuntu 10.04 desktop for 6 month ago.
Thank you for this soft it's simply wonderful

Interressed by news features of the 4.5 version I've try to install it today.

I have 2 problems:
All the medias on my ntfs usb hard drive aren't accessibles and I can't access more deep than 2 folders.
(This are on ext4 partition is OK only for one folder deep)

I've restored the 4.4 version, but if I can know what is the problem before the stable version, is better

J'ai vu ton post..
essaie ceci
remplace le port 443 normalement utilisé pour le html par subsonic dans l"application subsonic windows,la nouvelle, par 453 par exemple et ouvre ce nouveau port dans le firewall de ta box/routeur..et magic!
pour changer ton port n'oublie pas de passer subsonic windows server en administrateur en ouvrant le subsonic tray sous administrateur sinon tu peux rien changer du tout..ne touche à rien d'autre...

excuse tu es en ubuntu fais tout ceci en oubliant ma reference à windows mais le principe est le même:changer le port du html et le dd doit apparaitre..

Je regarderai ça un peu plus en détail demain, mais je ne suis déjà plus sur le port 443 et en plus je garde accès à tout ce qui est sur des partitions ext4.

Mais du coup, je pense peut-être à un problème avec le serveur, d'ailleurs, c'est quoi le serveur de Subsonic, il est intégré ou il s'appuie sur ce qu'il y a sur la machine, parce que dans mon cas j'ai déjà pas mal de trucs.

Si le serveur est intégré (sans doute que oui pour Windows mais pas obligatoire sous Linux) il y a peut-être une config particulière à faire parce que j'ai eu le même soucis avec Apache récemment.

Pour résumer ma situation:
Avec Subsonic 4.4 en https sur un port vers 6500 j'ai accès aux partitions ext4 et ntfs

Avec Subsonic 4.5b et la même config (juste installé le deb) je n'ai plus accès qu'aux partitions ntfs.

with 4.5.2beta I cannot access any USB hard drives, including EXT4. I think its something to do with it not running as root anymore.

Exact, my ntfs HD is an external usb hard drive.
I have not tested on an internal ntfs partition or an ext3 external Hardrive.

Anybody can confirm this problem please ?

I'm not sure that is a root problem because my external hard drive have full access for simple user.

I can access internal HD. I cannot access usb drive on any format, ntfs, fat32, or ext4.

I just install Subsonic 4.5 final and all is OK.

@philip550c may be you have reason because in the /etc/default/subsonic file have a new ligne for start subsonic server with root user.
