Expired SSL Certificate

Postby pandabear » Mon Aug 15, 2011 7:33 am

I recently upgraded from Subsonic 4.4 to 4.5 beta 1 and then to 4.5 and i have been receiving an error telling me my security certificate has expired. Firefox usually alerts you with the "Untrusted Connection" and gives you the option to add an exception but the Confirm Security Exception button is greyed out.

I'm running Subsonic on a windows machine if that helps. I noticed the SSL certificate problem was resolved in 4.5 beta 1 so could it be a problem with old install files still residing on my computer?

I have the same problem after upgrading to 4.5 on Ubuntu 11.04.

Certificate supplied is for '*.subsonic.org' which firefox doens't like as that is not the URL I have visited (localhost in this case). It does not let you 'add an exception' however as when that dialog opens it says the cert if valid (presumably as it is valid for subsonic.org). Using Firefox 6.0.2, I can still use the subsonic server fine in Chrome btw.

Can I install a different cert by any chance?
