Android App stops playing when other App is started

I am currently testing Subsonic and the features look very promising. I am having one big problem with the Android App: It stops playing when I send it into the background and start another App. Sometimes it will continue playing one or two minutes.

I am running Android 2.3.5 (Cyanogen) on a Motorola Milestone (european version of the Droid). Subsonic is the current Market-Version which should be 3.1

I already searched the forums, found one similar issue, but without any solutions. Is anyone else of you experiencing these problems or can I provide more information to fix this?

This seems to be a known issue with CM7 and the original Droid. The Droid doesn't have much memory and the OS is killing programs a little too aggressively.

Thank you for the hints. I will try searching in this direction, seems to be my problem. I have to somehow lock the subsonic app to memory...

Edit: For the record: I installed "Swapper for Root" (https://market.android.com/details?id=o ... ee.swapper) and activated a swap file. This does seem to fix the problems with subsonic. It should reduce the sd-card life though, but with todays prices I can live with that
