Postby nomi34 » Thu Aug 25, 2011 6:29 am

After using my Playbook for a few weeks I have fallen in love and after using Subsonic I knew I had to create a native app and so here we are!

http://appworld.blackberry.com/webstore ... 37?lang=en

Features:
You will need API Access to Subsonic (you have to donate to the project to get API Access).

1. Listen to music
2. Watch Videos
3. Control Bitrate
4. Cache Lists for offline use
5. Create Playlists
6. Play playlists
7. Use quick list feature to create on the go playlists
8. Download songs for offline use later

All over your Wifi/Bluetooth Tether.

THANK YOU!

Purchased. Have also let people around the office know, and more than a couple are doing chair dances...

Awesome! It's strange - i've been a windows developer for years but somehow this is the first time i've been drawn to a device enough to code for it :s

Quick question... how do you prevent Sonicair from shutting off? AFAIK the only options for disabling the PB screensaver are measured in minutes, not "never".

But, thank you for writing this app. It was one of the reasons I decided to buy the PB. I do hope that enough people purchase it to to encourage you to continue developing it!

Hi Mtn,

Well the last few days have been crazy - we have gone from 2.0 to 2.2.4 VERY quickly with massive speed upgrades etc.

The PB should not go into sleep mode while Video is playing (that should be default) and as for the audio - well that has been fixed since your last post. The audio continues to play while device screen shuts off.

Hi,

i purchased SonicAir for the PlayBook and want to share my opinion/ideas.
Overall it's a great app with a lot of potential.

Improvements:
  • I didn't found out how to create playlists... maybe you need to highlight this function somehow
  • Add a 2D barcode to the BlackBerry remote control app dialog, so one can use this to download app
  • make URL input more tolerant to mistyping. "http://" shouldn't needed but allowed

Feature Requests:
  • clear playlist
  • JukeBox
  • show albums in the random carousel, "tap and hold" opens a context from which you can select songs

Not sure if your still developing this but SSL support would be nice.

Still developing! Working on an HTML5 version, just suck at UI design so its taking me longer then it should.
